Thanks to incredible support from participants and sponsors/partners – specifically Cameco – Step Up for Mental Health has donated $2.75 million to charities and not-for-profits for mental health programs since 2019.
Now entering Year 8, the Step Up for Mental Health run – presented by Cameco – has donated to 89 charities across 22 Saskatchewan communities. In total, 151 financial grants have been issued in the last seven years. (Some charities have received multiple grants over the years.) Through the entire history of the event, the Saskatoon Community Foundation has partnered with Step Up to collect donations and help facilitate the grants with their expertise.
The $2.75 million in funding that has been donated has been accumulated through sponsorship, net proceeds from the event and donations from participants.
This year’s Step Up for Mental Health run is slated for September 26-27 in downtown Saskatoon. You can register at this website and help the total grow closer to $3 million.
