Registration is open for the 2024 Step Up for Mental Health run/walk – presented by Cameco.
The sixth annual Step Up event features a 5km and 10km in-person option along a reasonably flat and scenic course in Saskatoon on September 22nd. There are also virtual options available. A special early-bird price of $55 (plus tax and fees) is available until midnight June 7th.
As always, Step Up is a major mental health fundraiser. All net proceeds from the event will be donated to mental health support programs in Saskatchewan.
New courses: This year’s event will feature a start and finish line in downtown Saskatoon and a beautiful course that showcases views of the South Saskatchewan River. Watch for the course to be revealed through social media in the coming weeks.
New swag: To provide variety this year, the showcase piece of swag is a high-quality Step Up sweatshirt instead of a bunny hug. All adult participants will also receive a Step Up drawstring bag and custom medal at the finish line. (Student participants receive a sweatshirt and medal.)
To maximize the amount of money donated to mental health support programs – and to keep registration fees as low as possible – participants do not receive a t-shirt as part of their registration fee.
However, during the early-bird pricing period until June 7th, participants are given the option during registration to purchase a Step Up technical training t-shirt for $19.99 with the shirt available for pick-up at the end of June.
Watch for swag reveals and more details on our social media channels in the next few weeks.
